Brad took this photograph of a pair of African Green-Pigeons, Treron calvus, early in the morning on August 21, 2012, while we were birding around Nxamaseri Lodge (Botswana) looking for Pel's Owl. The African Green-Pigeon is quite colorful with its predominantly greenish coloration. The base of the yellowish bill is red as are the legs. Temperatures were in the low 60's on this clear day with blue skies.
