Late in the afternoon on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, we took a safari vehicle with our group and guides (VENT and local) to go birding on the Moremi Game Reserve. Brad photographed an African Elephant, Loxodonta africana, munching on some tree leaves. The animal's tusks are long and pointed and were very different from those of the animals that we saw in Etosha where a lack of certain minerals caused them to break. Temperatures were in the low 90's on this sunny day.
