Brad photographed an African Elephant, Loxodonta africana, that was feeding near the camping area on the Moremi Game Reserve (Botswana) the morning of August 23, 2012. We were on our way back to Xakanaxa Camp for brunch. This individual seemed to have staked this site out as its territory. Temperatures were edging upward toward the high 80's with clear blue skies.
