The hindquarters of this male Waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus) have a "toilet seat" pattern on them. We were birding and looking for big game on the Moremi Game Reserve (Botswana) during the morning of August 23, 2012. We'd left Xakanaxa Camp which lies in the heart of the Okavango Delta just after sunrise via a safari vehicle. Temperatures were in the low 80's with clear sunny skies.
