Brad took this photograph of me sitting in a Mokoro, a traditional dug-out canoe that is "poled" along the shallow flood plains. What a great way to get a close-up, "bird's eye" view of the wildlife near Nxamaseri Lodge (Botswana)! We spent the morning of August 20, 2012, getting great looks at Lesser Jacana and African Pygmy Geese (plus a lot of other wonderful birds). Temperatures were in the upper 70's on this clear morning with blue skies.
