One of the first species of birds that we saw at Xakanaxa Camp (Maun, Botswana) the afternoon of August 22, 2012, was a Kurrichane Thrush, Turdus libonyanus. We were waiting near the reception area to go out on an afternoon birding trip when we photographed this species with its bright orange bill, densely streaked malar strip, white supercilium, and white belly and rump. Temperatures were in the low 90's on this sunny day.
