During the afternoon of August 23, 2012, after a much needed siesta and some refreshing snacks and tea, we headed out to bird and look for big game on the Moremi Game Reserve (Botswana) from Xakanaxa Camp. Brad photographed this Meyer's Parrot (Poicephalus meyeri) that was perched some distance from us. Upperparts, head, and breast are grayish-brown. It has a faint yellow bar on the forehead and bright yellow shoulders. The back is a bluish-green, while the belly is a mix of blue, green, and yellow colors. Temperatures were in the mid-90's on this clear day with blue skies.
