During the afternoon of August 23, 2012, after a much needed siesta and some refreshing snacks and tea, we headed out to bird and look for big game on the Moremi Game Reserve (Botswana) from Xakanaxa Camp. Brad photographed a pair of Meyer's Parrots (Poicephalus meyeri) as they headed up the branch of a nearby tree. Upperparts, head, and breast are grayish-brown. A faint yellow bar can be seen on the forehead. Shoulders are a bright yellow, and the back is a bluish-green The belly is a mix of blue, green, and yellow colors. Temperatures were in the mid-90's on this clear day with blue skies.
