During the late afternoon of August 21, 2012, we left Nxamaseri Island Lodge (Maun, Botswana) by boat and headed to the lagoon and solid ground where we boarded a safari vehicle to look for additional species. We stopped to talk to a native fisherman while driving adjacent to the lagoon. He was very proud of his catch (tied together with reeds). Temperatures were in the upper 80's with clear blue skies.
