Brad photographed a female Saddle-billed Stork (Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis) as it fed in the nearby undergrowth. The bird's reddish 'knees' are visible. We'd left Xakanaxa Camp early in the morning on August 23, 2012, in a safari vehicle to bird the Moremi Game Reserve (Botswana). Temperatures were in the low 80's with clear sunny skies.
