We returned to Xakanaxa Camp (Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana) after doing some early morning birding and looking for big game on August 23, 2012. Brad and I decided to bird around the camp before brunch and photographed a Wattled Starling, Creatophora cinerea, standing in the grass. A pale starling with black wings, a white rump, and underparts, this male (wet from recent bathing) has yellow and black coloration on its head. Temperatures were edging upward toward the high 80's with clear blue skies.
