Brad photographed a flock of White-faced Whistling-Ducks, Dendrocygna viduata, as they flew over us the morning of August 21, 2012. We'd left Nxamaseri Lodge (Botswana) by boat and were birding the floodplains and islands in the area. The head, nape, and neck are black. The face and throat are white. The under-wing pattern and rounded wings can be seen in this photograph. Temperatures were in the low 70's on this clear day with blue skies.
