A solid door separated the bathroom from the bedroom at Xakanaxa Camp in Maun, Botswana. We arrived at the camp during mid-afternoon on August 22, 2012, and were busy documenting our accommodations. Brad and I can be seen in the mirror. To the left was the shower and to the right, the toilet. The entire upper back area was open to the elements and to the local monkeys and baboons. To prevent attracting the marauders, it was important not to leave anything around to attract them and to keep the door to the sleeping area closed. Temperatures were in the low 90's on this sunny afternoon.
