A very uncooperative (it wouldn't turn around) Yellow-throated Petronia (Gymnoris supercillaris) is posing with its back to us. We were driving around the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana the morning of August 23, 2012, with our group and guides (VENT and local) in a safari vehicle looking for big game and birds. This species is IDed in the field by its brownish upperparts, grayish underparts, and a broad white eyebrow. Temperatures were in the low 80's on this sunny morning with clear skies.
