Brad photographed this African Fish-Eagle flying over a marshy area in Bagani Mahangu Game Reserve in Namibia the afternoon of August 19, 2012. We had stopped for a picnic lunch and were kept busy photographing the various species feeding in the area. The African Fish-Eagle, Haliaeetus vocifera, has broad, dark wings, a white head, breast and nape. A short, white tail is characteristic of the species. Temperatures were in the 90's on this clear day.
