We were on a late afternoon birding drive on August 14, 2012, when Brad took this photograph of an African Grey Hornbill, Tokus nasutus. The dark bill on the male has a creamy-white colored central portion. The casque is larger than the female's. Upperparts are grayish-brown with pale edges to the feathers, while underparts are a creamy-white. Both sexes have a white eye-brow. Temperatures were in the low 80's on this clear day.
