Brad photographed this Black-chested Snake Eagle (Circaetus pectoralis) while we were driving to Okaukuejo Camp in Etosha National Park (Namibia) the morning of August 15, 2012. The main identification characteristics of this species are its dark brown head and chest which contrast with the white underparts and underwings. Flight feathers and tail have dark barring. Upperparts are dark brown, and the eye is yellow. Temperatures were in the mid-60's.
