We were birding and looking for big game at the Goas Waterhole the morning of August 17, 2012, when Brad photographed a Cape Turtle-Dove, Streptopelia capicola. Head and underparts are a pale gray color. The mantle and wing coverts are a darker gray. Outer tail feathers are white, and the bird has a narrow black nuchal collar. Temperatures were in the upper 80's on this beautiful morning with clear blue skies.
