Brad and I were driving in a safari vehicle around the Huab Conservation area property during the late afternoon of August 12, 2012. We photographed a pair Common Waxbills, Estrilda astrild, as they perched on a nearby shrub. Temperatures on this clear, sunny afternoon were in the upper 80's.
