After a 'picnic' lunch in our safari vehicle at the Okondeka Waterhole in Etosha National Park (Namibia) on August 16, 2012, we observed this African Elephant (Loxodonta africana) munching on some thornbush. This elephant appears to be an albino when, in fact, it is caked in dried mud. The tusks of this elephant were worn and chipped. Temperatures were in the upper 80's on this sunny afternoon.
