After birding around Namutoni Camp and along the Dikdik Drive the morning of August 18, 2012, we drove to the Klein Okevi Waterhole where we photographed a small herd of Black-faced Impala, Aepyceros melampus petersi. These antlered ungulates have black markings on their hips and tail, white markings above each eye, under their chin, and on the underside of their tail. Temperatures were in the mid-60's on this clear day.
