After a much needed siesta and settling in period during the afternoon of August 12, 2012, Brad and I walked to the reception area (a nice hike) at Huab Lodge. Brad photographed a Boulton's Namib Day Gecko, Rhoptropus boultoni, sunning itself on an outside wall of the reception area. The back is a dark black grey to olive-brown color streaked with russet, and the belly is a bluish-grey. Temperatures on this clear, sunny afternoon were in the upper 80's.
