After breakfast at Namutoni Camp on August 18, 2012, we drove back to Klein Okevi Waterhole for more birding. Brad photographed these Greater Kudu, Tragelaphus strepsiceros, drinking at the waterhole. Females are smaller than males and lack spiral horns. The head is grayish while the upper body color is tawny. Note the thin pale conspicuous stripes along the upper body. A crest of hair runs down the middle of the back forming a mane. Ears are large and rounded. Temperatures were in the mid-80's on this clear day.
