We were birding and looking for big game at the Goas Waterhole the morning of August 17, 2012, when we spotted this lion, Panthera leo, in the grass. We saw three young males and two females. Park rules include a statement that prohibits visitors from leaving their vehicles...you never know what could be lurking in the grass! Temperatures were in the upper 80's on this beautiful morning with clear blue skies.
