We were driving through the Mahangu Nature (Game) Reserve in Namibia on our way to Botswana. The edges of Mahangu Game Reserve serve as a border between Botswana and Namibia. The Okavango River runs through the area. We were in a dry broadleaf woodland when I saw and photographed this Monkey Orange Tree, Strychnos spinosa , which is indigenous to tropical and subtropical Africa. The fruit is known for its delicious sweet and sour flavor and is a good source of vitamin C and B.
