After some early morning birding on August 12, 2012, along the Atlantic Coast in Swakopmund, we drove to the Swakopmund Airfield for our charter flight to Huab Conservation Area near Kamanjab, Namibia. Brad took this photograph as we took off to show some of the 'scenery' near Swakopmund. Swakopmund and the Atlantic Ocean are shown in this photograph along with the Namib Desert. Temperatures were in the low 70's on this sunny morning with partly cloudy skies.
