We returned to the Reception/Dining area on the morning of August 13, 2012, for breakfast around 9 A.M. following some early morning birding. Brad photographed these Laughing Doves, Spilopelia senegalensis, while the small flock perched together in a nearby tree. This species lacks a black nuchal collar. The head is pinkish, and the breast is a cinnamon color with black spots. The back is a rusty color. Outer tail feathers, visible in flight, are white. Temperatures were up into the low 80's on this clear, breezy morning.
