After a much needed siesta after lunch on August 14, 2012, Brad and I walked to the Huab reception/dining area. A Pearl-spotted Owlet, Glaucidium perlatum, was perched in a tree near the reception/food-prep area. This bird took a brief siesta, too, right when we were taking photos of it. Temperatures were in the upper 80's on this clear, sunny day.
