After breakfast on August 13, 2012, we boarded a safari vehicle and drove the dry Huab River bed. I took this photograph to show the Red-billed Buffalo-Weaver's (Bubalornis niger) stick nest. This particular Weaver constructs communal nests in Acacia and Baobab trees (thornveld/mixed bushveld habitat). Temperatures were in the high 80's on this clear, breezy morning.
