August 15, 2012, began with an early morning birding hike around Huab before packing and leaving for our drive to Okaukuejo Camp in Etosha National Park (Namibia). We photographed Red-billed Francolin (Spurfowl; largest birds in the photo), Pternistis adspersus, from one of the viewing locations at the lodge just prior to sitting down for breakfast. Laughing Doves are on the right. The smaller birds are Southern Gray-headed Sparrows. There is one female Southern Masked-Weaver. Temperatures were in the low 60's on this overcast morning.
