After birding at Klein Okevi Waterhole for over an hour during mid-morning on August 18, 2012, we drove back to Namutoni Camp. As we left the waterhole, Brad photographed a flock of Red-billed Queleas (Quelea quelea). This species travels in sizeable flocks that resemble columns of smoke. In some regions, Queleas are serious agricultural pests. An African Red-eyed Bulbul can be seen in the lower right of the photo. Temperatures were in the mid-80's on this clear day.
