After breakfast on August 14, 2012, Brad and I remained in Huab's reception/dining area to photograph several species that frequented the area. This female Red-billed Quelea, Quelea quelea, in non-breeding plumage, was perched in a nearby tree. Legs, bill, and eye ring are reddish. A prominent white supercilium can be seen on this individual. This species is considered to be a major agricultural pest in some areas of Africa...like a cloud of locusts. Temperatures were in the upper 70's on this clear morning.
