Brad and I were driving in a safari vehicle around the Huab Conservation area property during the late afternoon of August 12, 2012. We photographed a pair of Rosy-faced Lovebirds, Agapornis roseicollis, as they flew in to perch on a shrub protruding from a rocky escarpment. We were still in the area where we had seen Verreaux's Eagle. Once again, because of the distances involved, scope views were preferred. The Rosy-faced Lovebird has a pale bill, a pink crown, and a bright blue rump. Temperatures on this clear, sunny afternoon were in the upper 80's.
