After a much needed siesta and settling in period during the afternoon of August 12, 2012, Brad and I walked to the reception area (a nice hike) at Huab Lodge. This building provided excellent bird viewing opportunities where Brad photographed some local species such as this White-browed Sparrow-Weaver, Plocepasser mahali. Upperparts are brown, and underparts are white. The rump, supercilium, and wing markings are white. The forehead and lateral facial markings are black. Juveniles have horn-colored bills. Temperatures on this clear, sunny day were in the upper 80's.
