Brad photographed these Cape Cormorants (Phalacrocorax capensis) while we birded the Lagoon in Walvis Bay during the morning of August 10, 2012. Plumage is a glossy-green-black color. The head does not have a crest, the eyes are blue, and the base of the bill is an orangish-yellow color. This species, when flying as a group, flies in a long undulating line. Temperatures were in the mid-60's on this overcast morning.
