The Rossmund Golf Course in Swakopmund was our last birding stop during the afternoon of August 11, 2012. Brad photographed a Chestnut-vented Tit-Babbler, Parisoma subcaeruleum, (a.k.a. Chestnut-vented Warbler) as it perched nearby. The bird's vent is in full view in this photo. Upperparts are gray, while underparts are a paler gray with heavy blackish spotting on the throat and breast. Temperatures were in the upper 60's on this partly cloudy afternoon.
