The Rossmund Golf Course in Swakopmund was our last birding stop during the afternoon of August 11, 2012. Brad photographed a Chestnut-vented Tit-Babbler, Parisoma subcaeruleum, (a.k.a. Chestnut-vented Warbler) as it perched nearby. The chestnut-colored vent and the bird's pale eye can be seen in the photo. Upperparts are gray, while underparts are a paler gray with heavy blackish spotting on the throat and breast. The lower part of the tail is white. Temperatures were in the upper 60's on this partly cloudy afternoon.
