We birded Walvis Bay and the Walvis Bay Saltworks area on August 10, 2012. Brad photographed this Common Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) as it walked in the lagoon. The bill has a thick base and is long and slightly upturned. Underparts are white, and legs are a greenish-gray color. Temperatures were in the mid-60's on this overcast afternoon.
