After birding along the Zambian side of the Zambezi River above Victoria Falls the morning of August 25, 2012, we entered Zimbabwe's territory along the river for additional birding. After about an hour, we returned to Zambian waters and landed on an island to have tea and do more birding. Temperatures on this sunny day were in the upper 70's. The Red-faced Cisticola (Cisticola erythrops) was perched some distance away from us. Upperparts are a grayish-brown. The ear coverts, eyebrows, and lores have a reddish wash. Alternating gray and black barring can be seen on the undertail.
