Brad photographed a Wire-tailed Swallow (Hirundo smithii) as it perched on a branch along the shoreline of the Zambezi River above Victoria Falls the morning of August 25, 2012. We were out on an early morning boat trip to bird and look for big game in the National Park areas along the shoreline. Temperatures on this sunny day were in the upper 60's. This species has an orange cap and white underparts. The tail shafts are wire-like and are difficult to see when the bird is flying but are visible here.
