This picture was taken from the side of the Clipper Adventurer on the Promenade Deck on our second full day at sea, December 21, 2006. We were south bound in the Drake Sea and heading for the Antarctic Peninsula. The weather was partly cloudy with temperatures in the low 30's. This species is very distinctive and easy to identify.
