This photograph shows two young adult Southern Elephant Seals facing off with each other. We took this photograph while we were walking the beach in Gold Harbour early in the morning on December 31, 2006. The temperature was in the low 30's with light snow showers. At times it was difficult to pick a path that avoided contact with the seals.
