We left Houston at 9:00 PM on December 17, 2006 and arrived in Buenos Aries, Argentina at approximately 10:00 AM on December 18, 2006. We were met at the airport by VENT representatives and taken to the Sheraton Buenos Aries Hotel and Convention Center. There were about 40 people on the Vent tour, and 2 tour leaders, Pete Dunn and Brian Patterson . That afternoon we boarded busses and went to the Parque de la Ribera San Isidro next to the Rio de la Plata. We were scheduled to go to the Costanrea Del Sur Marshes but a storm the previous day prevented us from going to the Marshes. The next day we had an early flight to Ushusia, Argentina and toured the Tierra del Fuego National Park. After lunch we walked around the city and boarded the Clipper Adventurer for an evening departure of sailing through the Drake Passage to the Antartic Peninsula.
