Because of a severe storm the previous day, Costanera Sur, our preferred birding location, was closed. We birded in Parque de la Ribera San Isidro instead. This park is adjacent to the Rio de la Plata which separates Argentina and Urugay. Temperatures were in the mid-80's on this partly cloudy afternoon. This photograph shows the gape on a juvenile of this species.
