Brad and I had an enjoyable seafood lunch at the Bahama Bay Restaurant after visiting Lucayan National Park earlier in the day on March 23, 2010. Lucayan National Park, a 40 acre park established in 1982, is approximately 25 miles east of Freeport on the island of Grand Bahama. The caves in this area comprise one of the longest underwater cave systems in the world. Here we were able to visit six distinct ecosystems, blackland coppice, rocky coppice, whiteland coppice, mangrove swamp, pine forest, and a magnificent shoreline/beach.
