Joanne is standing next to driftwood that washed ashore at Lucayan National Park. Brad took this photo on the morning of March 23, 2010. Lucayan National Park, a 40 acre park established in 1982, is approximately 25 miles east of Freeport on the island of Grand Bahama. The caves in this area comprise one of the longest underwater cave systems in the world. Here we were able to visit six distinct ecosystems, blackland coppice, rocky coppice, whiteland coppice, mangrove swamp, pine forest, and a magnificent shoreline/beach.
