On Wednesday, March 24, 2010, we hired a private guide to take us to several birding locations on New Providence Island after we disembarked at Nassau. It was a partly cloudy day with temperatures in the upper 70's. We photographed a flock of White-cheeked Pintails while birding on private property belonging to friends of our guide. This close-up shot shows the red bill mark, the green speculum bordered by buff colored feathers, and the white cheek of this surface feeder.
