After visiting Lucaya National Park during the morning of March 23, 2010, we stopped for lunch at the Bahama Bay Restaurant. We photographed this female Yellow-bellied Sapsucker on a nearby tree. It was a partly cloudy, windy day with temperatures in the upper 70's. Lucaya National Park, a 40 acre park established in 1982, is approximately 25 miles east of Freeport on the island of Grand Bahama. The turquoise colored water and white, sandy beach were very inviting.
