Before heading to our hotel, the Estero Beach Hotel and Resort, in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, we stopped at the El Sauzal Pier in Ensanada to look at birds. This California Sea Lion, Zalophus californianus, was frolicking in the water. It was a hot sunny day with temperatures in the mid- to high 80's.
