This is an interesting photograph of the feathers of a Ringed Kingfisher as it took off in flight. It was taken during a stop that we made as we headed by bus from the Phillip SW Goldson International Airport in Belize City, Belize, to the Bird's Eye View Lodge located in the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary. It was a beautiful, sunny day with temperatures close to 90 degrees.
